If you have any doubts about what really happened in Benghazi you must watch this movie because they HAVE the REAL soldiers onset during the filming. Seriously GREAT movie - Thank you Michael Bay for getting the real soldiers involved. Hope you will do other documentaries like this in your own style.

This movie was epic!! I can only assume Rotten Tomatoes gave it such an average rating because they don't like America very much.

The movie was entertaining and fun to watch but far from representative of the actual course of events! I actually saw where one knucklehead cited a line from the movie as "...dialogue that actually took place" and "...a reason to hate liberals." (Despite at least two of the actual individuals that were in the compound discounting the dialogue and stating the movie in no way depicted what actually occurred). It's an entertaining war flick, enjoy it under that premise and stop trying to make it out to be a political statement.

I absolutely loved this movie. If you are looking for an awesome action war hero movie with plenty of battle scenes this is the movie to go to. Although disappointing that our government did nothing to help these great patriotic men it is still one of the best modern war movies that is out by a landslide.

First of all, what credits i read thank the lord some people have done their homework. Second problem are the negative critics, One sided? Well in a sense that is about the truth politically in our country, that is scary. It's a great movie from beginning to end.

Very few movies can make a tear come to my eye, but the accurate story and the selflessness of the brave few to go against a direct order and protect our Ambassador did make me cry.

Having also read the book the filmmakers did a great job capturing the essence of the book without cheapening the story. Courage under fire when greatly outnumbered. Watch this movie before you vote!!

I just saw this movie for the first time 4 days ago and I've already watched it 3 times.

My heart bleeds for the families of these brave men. And there are too many questions we will never get the answers to😓

This was actually a very entertaining and well done movie! Surprising enough that it was directed by the infamous Michael Bay.. But i hate how people reviewing saying it's good because it's truth and because of the nature of the story. moive itself is good. i just dont understand why the U.S. government has to always do this. sending soldiers in a troubled place, causing some misunderstanding and more trouble, and these soldiers would have to kill people in self defense and hence cause more hatred and chaos. did the soldiers really die for the good of the country? or did the world really benefit from all these US military actions?

Entertaining, Riveting, emotional, captivating. I usually don't like war/army movies but this-I watched it twice. I hope it gets some academy award or at least a nomination.

Incredible film...forget the critics...they are like the "leaders" in Washington...they have their heads in the sand. These are the real guys, with boots in the sand. I've watched multiple interviews with the real soldiers, and they back with this film down to the details. H isn't mentioned, but is implied having dropped the ball.

Also, I'm not a fan of Michael Bay..at all...but this film, seriously, is one you won't regret watching. It's a keeper, and as a proud American, I'm inspired by these men.

(PS) People who call the facutal accuracy into question are denying the facts that the eye witnesses were there, and are still alive. They were shot to bits and have no reason to fib for fame. I'll take their word over a snobby critic's any day of the week.

This was a great movie, beginning to end.

Good movie. Very nonpartisan as I was afraid it would not be. To those who say our government didn't care or were cowards have no clue about the real world and international politics. The movie just showed how the soldiers did what they needed to do to protect our countrymen to and did the best they could with what they had.

The CIA dropped the ball, not Hillary and Obama with their Intel and the ambassador ignored warnings from just about everyone causing most of this. This movie shows that, which is what is the focus and how our contractors did more than they had to.

The movie was Michael Bay so expect over the top but overall good.

Michael Bay is a wizard at keeping peoples attention with stunning visual effects and good acting. However, there are so many factual errors that the movie should be viewed as the fiction that it is rather than a truthful reanactment that it purports itself to be (or at least as others seem to attribute to it). If you go into it with the expectation that it will be an interesting, action packed with a fictionally improvised plot line - you won't be disappointed.

Micheal Bay does a great job on showing us on what happened that night on sept 11, 2012. For 13 hours, the GRS team fought to protect the annex and each other from waves of attackers. A must see movie!!!

Saw this movie in theaters with my dad. It was so awesome. I was glued to my seat and couldn't take my eyes off the screen the whole time!!😂 I like war movies (unless they are really sad) and this one is by far my fav one. Definitely watching again❤️👍🏻👌🏻

I was not prepared for the raw emotion and heart of this film. It overtook me.

I would not consider myself patriotic in the usual sense, but this was a love letter with a power that even I can recognize.

It feels like every character in this Michael Bay creation is either a balls to the walls hero or an incompetent idiot that's getting in the way of the heroes. It's disappoiting because this is based on a true story and real people. Mr Bay just doesn't make the characters feel believable. And the cheesy dialogue is just too much.

Seems like every poor review can be summed up in that one word. Just be glad there are men like these guys - the ones who take a hard line on right and wrong regardless of what the writers of Rolling Stone might say.

Incredible movie recounting the incredible true story of the harrowing bravery of the secret soldiers of Benghazi. This movie is a must see for the voting American public. To experience what these brave men did when the US State Department abandoned them then tried along with the president to blame the terrorist attack on a fabricated protest over a YouTube video! This movie exposes the truth about what happened in Benghazi and shows why Killary doesn't get to be president!

Some other person who wrote a review titled their review “TRUTH IS BETTER THAN FICTION.” So true! With some of the actual soldiers having played a role in the telling of this TRUE STORY turned film, and the fact that our own US Government’s account of that fatal night is shrouded in such scandal, its amazing to be able to escape all the partisan crap and what is presented to us by most news outlets and gain an understanding of what really happened. Especially because lives were lost. Must watch!

Disregard the critics who slammed this movie, as these are the same types likely to give any Michael Moore fairy tale a thumbs up. Michael Bay did a great job working with those who survived this completely avoidable tragedy, honoring their heroism and the bravery of those who didn't come back.

Why is this movies only getting 51% on Rotten Tomatoes? If you liked Black Hawk Down, you’ll love this. I don’t trust Rotten Tomatoes - they appear to be politically biased.

Such bravery by men abandoned by our government. They gave all in the face of Hillarys failure to protect our Ambassador and GRS. Hillary Clinton lied to the American People as the battle still raged on and failed to provide air support or troops is tragic and disgusting. These men are true heros and warriors.

This movie tells the story of a very specific moment. It doesn't presume to tell us why, it merely chronicles men and women within the moment. I'm always moved by the honoring of our brave men and women. Our military is filled with volunteers, no one told them to stand vigil at liberty's door. The fact that we can all go see a movie and then shred it is not lost on me. Every day our soldiers fight for my freedom. Don't you ever forget the real hell those men endured which was a thousand times more brutal than this Hollywood telling.

I didn't want to see this movie because I was afraid it was going to be more shameless conservative politicizing of a tragic event. Fortunately, the movie does not focus on the politics. Instead, it provides an incredibly intense portrayal of events as they unfold. Even if you think Republicans distastefully turned a tragedy into a political witch hunt, don't let that distract you from watching this movie. It is very well made and pays tribute to those who serve in our military.

This is an amazing movie on par with Zero Dark Thirty and American Sniper. "Critics" score it lower because they can't handle the political truths behind the cowards running our country at the time of this film. However, the reality is revealed in this epic. Hillary and Obama are not even mentioned, although the blood of four men is on their hands. Hail our heroes and to hell with the lying politicians.

Saw the movie twice. Also read the book. I'm praying the movie will be released in theaters again, as well as being released for sale, as the election draws near. I realize it was not America nor was it the military per se that abandoned these heroes. And I'll never forget how Rone said something like he wished gunship would fly over with all the power of the United States of America and really scare the terrorists. He was still so believing and loving his country and I'm sure he could never have envisioned that we could have elected people who were so corrupt that they could leave him there to die.

For an industry that adores Killary Clinton, I’m not at all surprised that it’s been panned by the film industry who have attacked the director for his politics rather than judge the film by its merits. The movie is well done, very gritty, and doesn’t waste much time in flowery speeches. I’m certain that there are errors and inaccuracies as there are in every film, but this movie does everything but point to Clinton and obama as being to blame for not only the assault on the Embassy, but the death of the ambassador and members of the security detail. The very fact that Hollywood is fed by the hands of those who hold their chains, I’m not at all surprised by the negative reviews: so much for the objectivity of Rotten Tomatoes.

I know 3 SEALs who saw this and I asked them what they thought, They all loved the movie. No BS. They said whoever did the weapons training with the actors did a phenomenal job. One of them was good friends with Ty Woods too. I loved it too, Dont listen to the libatard critics. This is a great movie.

Amazing story line, makes you really feel like you are watching live video feed of the mission. Action is non-stop, and the acting is fantastic! This beats "Act of Valor" and "Lone Survivor". This is definitely in front of "Black Hawk Down" and behind "Jarhead". I am completely amazing of how accurate and well directed this film came out.

I'll take the true account of what happened over there, over what politicians with agendas have to say. It was a good movie about being under fire and relationships with your "brothers".

The movie is a true story, ignore claims that this is propaganda, this really happened and those denying that it never did are ignorant. Three of the actual contractors helped with the making of this movie. That being said, as a USMC veteran I will say some parts were unrealistic, and I’m talking about the over the top fireball explosions, but it’s Michael Bay so that is to be expected. Acting was done excellent, the side conversations down to the serious dialogue, overall great movie, and worth the money to see in theaters.

The movie helps us believe in something bigger than ourselves again. Shows the true passion of men fighting for each other's life's despite the political autocracies that tie their hands.

The greatest generation was clearly in the 1940s and 50s. Thankfully we still have a few men and women that have the same mentality. It is because of those men and women and we are still able to practice the freedoms that we have. This is a key example of putting oneself in harms way for the greater good of our country!

The book, the movie, the documentaries, all of it proves just how a handful of selfless, courageous warriors can change an entire nation as well as the world’s point of view of those who stand against the darkest parts of the world and will fight them to the death to keep America’s families safe. 13 Hours is a must see. It doesn't beat a dead horse, rather it sheds important light on a tragedy hurriedly papered over by those with lots to lose by the objective truth getting exposed. Bravo to the heroes on the ground and those who made this story into a film.

This film will rock your world. I was on the edge of my seat from start finish. Truly 1 of the best war movies since Saving Private Ryan.
