What an awful thing for an artist to do. I always figured she was above this sort of thing. Uninspired.

Let's be clear: this "double album deluxe edition" is her album from last year (In These Silent Days) and those SAME SONGS completely re-recorded with a 1960s Laurel Canyon vibe (In the Canyon Haze) and...for some reason...instead of a Laurel Canyon cover (e.g. Joni Mitchell or CSNY or Jackson Browne of Mamas & the Papas), she does Space Oddity by Bowie. So this isn't a double album of new material, and it's not two albums of distinctive songs. It's songs previously released a year ago and those same songs re-recorded with a different vibe...and Space Oddity. If she's willing to sell the "deluxe version" for $12.99, I wish she'd just offer the re-recorded versions for half the price. I already have the 2021 album. Granted, $12.99 isn't far above the price of a normal album...but it just seems like this is a cute little addendum that I might be more happy to pay $7.99 for. As it is, I may hold off.

Brilliant

Her sound is like hearing the truth for the first time; it cuts you deep. She has the perfect balance of grit and clarity that makes her a standout. In The Canyon Haze feels like an Ode to her soul: her music the way she wants you to hear it, in her unique voicing of instruments that transcends genre and instead just IS, all of the beauty resting on your heart and resonating in your subconscious.

The song "You And Me On The Rock" almost reminds me of Neil Diamond late 1971 song "Stones"!! Also the remake of the late David Bowie 1969 song "Space Oddity" & just maybe the remake of the British group Roy Wood & The Move 1969 or 1970 song "This Time Tomorrow".
