Tons which wasn't in Serial

Now let me start by saying that to me law is among the top three of the most boring things in the world. If you would have told me a month ago, that I would binge listen to three lawyers talking I would have patted you gently on the shoulder and suggested that you see your doctor. However after listening to Serial season 1 I was amazed at the amount of work the makers put in and how much they uncovered which was not talked about in Serial. Even if you don't care about Adnan Syed (or even have no clue who he is) this podcast helps you understand what CSI and all those other shows gloss over: how criminal investigations really work, how police corruption can mess up your life even if you have no criminal record, what life in a place like Baltimore is like (though this is obviously not representative) and it indirectly explains why so many minorities in the US mistrust the police and riots break out. Rabia, Susan and Colin don't worry about those morons who say you are not Serial or that you are serving up only biased accounts.
