Why when using an Xbox and a headset, do I still need to turn down the volume on my TV? On PlayStation, it knows to mute the TV/sound system.

Another Xbox sound observation, occasionally at times, my Xbox(es) get out of sync with my soundbar. There is a delay between what’s happening on screen and the sound. To resolve, I need to power off/on the soundbar. Happened on two different TVs/soundbars.
