Go back in time and immerse yourself in the bustling life around Dalhousie Station, the historic Old Montreal building that is today home of the creative studios of Cirque Éloize. The date: November 16, 1885. In a Montreal ravaged by an epidemic and a population up in arms against forced vaccinations, French Canadians got some terrible news. 

Bon Voyage is an audio drama podcast by Michel Marc Bouchard. To give listeners the history behind the story, it is accompanied by a series of episodes by historian Martin Landry about Montreal and Canada in the 1880s. 

Bon Voyage is set at the inauguration of the transcontinental railway at Dalhousie Station in Montreal, a construction project with massive social and political ramifications that lies at the very foundations of Canada itself.

Dans un Montréal ravagé par une épidémie, alors que la population est en émeute face à la vaccination obligatoire, les Canadiens français apprennent une terrible nouvelle. Nous sommes le 16 novembre 1885.

Les personnages de Bon voyage vivent l’ouverture de la ligne de train transcanadienne en partance de la Gare Dalhousie de Montréal, un projet aux immenses ramifications sociales et politiques, qui est aux sources même de la création du Canada.

La série Bon Voyage est une fiction balado écrite par Michel Marc Bouchard. Pour tout savoir des dessous de l’histoire, s’y ajoutent des épisodes de l’historien Martin Landry sur le Montréal, et le Canada des années 1880.
