25. The Power of Belief

25. The Power of Belief

Länge: 50:19
In this episode, Jeff Widenhofer and I explore belief’s profound influence on our lives. After recently reading The Biology of Belief by Bruce Lipton (a book I recommended back in December 2022), Jeff was introduced to the idea that our internal beliefs and what we “tell” our cells can directly influence our biology. This concept is new to him, as it is for many, and can be challenging to embrace fully. We delve into my personal experiences with it and examine other ways beliefs shape our daily lives. We also question how much of our behavior is grounded in factual reality vs. what we believe and how gaining a deeper understanding of this can lead to meaningful life improvements. I previously published an article titled The Power of Belief that explores these topics further if you’re interested.

The Uncommon Pursuit of Mind Fitness.
RARE SENSE® is hosted by Chris Irwin, a Navy SEAL veteran who faced chronic mental and physical illness for over a decade after his military service. Throughout his journey, he delved into various aspects of mental training, including meditation, breathing exercises, emotional release techniques, and energy work. This pursuit eventually led to the complete alleviation of his symptoms, both mental and physical. He emerged with a profound understanding of what it takes to build a genuinely fit mind. On this podcast, Chris uses the knowledge he gained during that journey to discuss the modern mental health landscape while being completely vulnerable and open about his own experiences and struggles. Mental health isn't something to just treat. It's something to train.
