Welcome back to the PIN Podcast! On this episode, we speak with Dr. Diego Moretti about his passion for nutrition research, and his advice for early career scientists. Dr. Moretti has served as Professor of Nutritional Sciences at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland, and as the Head of the Nutrition and Dietetics Research at Swiss Distance University of Applied Sciences. His expertise lies at the intersection of physiology, biochemistry, and dietetics, with a particular emphasis on the nutrition of sensitive populations. In this episode, he shares how he became interested in the field of nutrition, as it uniquely encompasses both the hard sciences, as well as the most basic aspects of human cultural traditions around food.
