The Valente brothers were born into the jūjutsu (jiu-jitsu) tradition. Pedro, Gui and Joaquim began learning the gentle art from their father before they could walk. At the tender age of two, Pedro, Gui and Joaquim were already taking private lessons from the founding father of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Helio Gracie. The brothers are authors of the 753 Code, a self-improvement guide they developed based on the ancient philosophies of the samurai warriors. Currently the brothers own and operate Valente Brothers, in North Miami Beach, one of the most prominent self-defense academies worldwide.
