Juno

Juno

Länge: 1:07:07
In a Sleepover Cinema first, 2007’s “Juno” is an indie critical darling documenting the unplanned pregnancy of a precocious sixteen year old. Featuring icon Elliot Page in his breakthrough role, a dialogue style light years before its time, and an unrelentingly mumbly soundtrack, this movie has a place in the hearts of millions. But in 2021, does this movie fit the bill of being an “anti-choice” movie, as writer Diablo Cody has described it?

Beschreibung

Welcome to Sleepover Cinema, where we analyze the films that created the collective unconscious of the girls and gays of the late 90s and early 2000s. Hosted by sister filmmaking duo Hannah and Audrey Leach, also known as Too Pink Pictures, Sleepover Cinema is an exploration of the movies that first inspired their love for film— classics like Aquamarine, Cheetah Girls, and Cinderella (the one with Brandy in it, obviously)— aimed at answering the question… are these movies actually good? And at the end of the day, is that what really matters?
