Shockingly boring for a Grisham
Apart from the first and last chapter, no suspense whatsoever. More like a manual for booksellers, (first edition) book collectors and those generally interested in the book trade. But definitely nothing for those who like to read what’s advertised on the front cover: a thriller. Of course, John Grisham remains an incredibly talented writer and once again he’s dared to leave the worn-out path of the legal thriller and has tried something entirely new: these are the only two reasons why I didn’t put the book down before I was finished and they made me give the book a second star.
