… it’s not a Compressing App ...
Bulk resize, unfortunately Photocleaner crashes even after update. This feature should be integrated into iOS!
… it resizes your pictures only !
e.g. iPhone 5s ‘back camera':
- Original:
picture size 3264 x 2448 = 8-Mpixel , 72dpi, File size 3.2 MB
- Reduced ‘Compressed’ (Q=quality setting within App)
Q 100% = 1440 x 1080 = 1.55-Mpixel, 72dpi, File size = 531 KB (best quality)
Q 50% = 1440 x 1080 = 1.55-Mpixel, 72dpi, File size = 420 KB
Q 25% = 1440 x 1080 = 1.55-Mpixel, 72dpi, File size = 274 KB
Q 5% = 1440 x 1080 = 1.55-Mpixel, 72dpi, File size = 213 KB (lowest quality)
I like the clean user interface, and that the app highlights the compressed files ‘green’
Video:
I couldn’t really find many differences between the original video and its compressed version …
- Original:
video duration 3s > size 568 x 320, H.264, File size = 300 KB
- Reduced:
video duration 3s > size 568 x 320, H.264, File size = 301 KB
It would be helpful to have an option to convert mov to mp4 format.
PS: bought the App and it’s still asking to upgrade and pay again. You can’t contact the developer. Runtime and server code errors … (http://photocleaner.blogspot.ca)
