Das IOS App „Wo ist“ läuft nicht mehr ordnungsgemäss. Nun installierte ich wieder Life360 und es hat sich einiges verbessert. Die ersten Eindrücke sind positive und gut.

Die App ist eigentlich nicht schlecht ausser, dass sie teilweise eine Fahrt anzeigt obwohl ich zu Hause im Wohnzimmer mit meinem Handy in der Hand sass.

Die App bietet eine gute Übersicht und ist einfach zu bedienen. Die Benachrichtigungen verzögern sich manchmal, was aber stark vom GPS Signal der jeweiligen Person abhängt. Trotz der einberechneten Ungenauigkeit des GPS würde ich mir wünschen, das man den Radius eines Ortes kleiner einstellen kann, z.B bis auf min. 10 m.

Eine gute Sache
Die App finde ich toll, so weiss ich immer wo meine Kinder sind und kann deren Bewegungsmuster beobachten. Einen Punkt Abzug gibt es aufgrund der bis zu 5 Minuten Verzögerung bei der Meldungen. Sprich, bspw. meine Tochter ist schon zu Hause und die Meldung der App kommt ca. 3-5 Minuten später an, dass sie angekommen ist. Es wäre toll wenn dieses kleine Schönheitsfehler beginnen werden könnte. Ansonsten finde ich die App sehr nützlich.

If you want to totally loose the last bit of interpersonal connection with your kids, go ahead and install this app. But if you‘re a sane parent you don‘t. Your children deserve some privacy too! Just because you’re the parent doesn’t mean you have the right to know everything. If your children lie to you about where they are and who they‘re with, maybe for once, you should ask yourself where you went wrong and not punish your child with this app when they refuse to talk to you. Because trust me, this app will only make it way worse.

Worst app ever, will break the trust between you and your child. The data’s can be sold to companies so for example if your child got into an accident while life 360 was on, insurance companies will see that and he will have to pay a lot more for his insurance. Really don’t recommend. If there’s a trust problem, the only way to solve it is by talking.

We never purchased or signed up for a subscription but we got monthly hidden charges. The service is the worst. Not only they did not want to end the subscription (what I then did on my own) but they also said they have no refund policy. There are other providers and developers who even give refund on accidental purchases whereas Life360 does not refund wrong charges. This underlines their scam. We downloaded the app to check how it is and deleted it afterwards and then they charged us for months on a credit card I do not usually use (thus did not realize immediately). They are not willing to help and all they care is giving wrong subscriptions and get money from other people.
I highly recommend not to download this scam.
