This Safari extension allows you to change the playback speed (up to 16x) of web videos/audios.
Playback speeds that include a decimal point, such as 2.125x, can also be set.
It also offers a wide variety of customization features.
This extension works on Safari.
The playback speed that can be set is from 0x to 16x.
If the speed exceeds 2x, which is the default maximum playback speed on Safari, the smoothness of the audio in videos and audio-only clips will be maintained, but the smoothness of video images will be reduced. If you wish to enjoy the images in videos as well, speeds faster than 2x are not recommended.
How to change playback speed
1. Go to the site on Safari (e.g. YouTube) where the target video/audio is located
2. Open a popup for this extension
3. Change the playback speed to your preference by clicking the slider that appears or the one-click button that allows you to change to the set playback speed
Customizable items
・The highest value (the highest speed of the video/audio), the lowest value (the lowest speed of the video/audio), and the step on the slider.
・Default speed for playback, eliminating the need to set the speed every time.
・Whether the last used playback speed will be used again next time.
・One-click buttons to change playback speed (multiple settings possible, up to 24 buttons)
Other
・If the target video/audio is embedded from an external site, the playback speed can be changed by navigating to that external site. Also, you cannot change the speed of non-HTML5 video/audio. (Although the video on most websites is HTML5.)
・Users can inquire if this extension will work on a particular site before installing it. Please contact us with the URL of the video/audio in question and we will respond within 24 hours.
