The Intercooler is an ad-free mobile subscription app, making it unique among digital car magazines. The Intercooler is where the world’s best motoring writers post the most engaging stories about cars, driving and motorsport – all packaged in the most convenient form that exists. The Intercooler was founded by car journalists Andrew Frankel and Dan Prosser, with almost half a century of experience in automotive media between them.
We believe something has gone missing in the endless avalanche of new cars upon which motoring journalists now report, and it’s the most important thing of all: the story. But thanks to modern technology, we can bring the best stories to our subscribers every single day, whatever they’re doing and wherever in the world they happen to be. In addition to Dan and Andrew, our team includes Mel Nichols, Peter Robinson, Colin Goodwin, Karun Chandhok, Henry Catchpole and Andrew English, between them providing unrivalled experience and the best access to the car industry.
For ourselves, we find inspiration from Car magazine in the 1970s and 1980s. Passionate, fearless and fiercely independent, it was a title read as much for its writers as the subjects upon which they wrote. Our mission is to capture that spirit and apply it to a 21st century format.
