A love letter to the devs <3

What is it, that makes this app so great? In essence, aren't we just dealing with a chatting app and a timer tagged to the delivery?
How does it capture the spirit of writing letters? And how does it improve on it?
How is it so damn addicting?
In my opinion, what makes this app work so wonderfully, is the refreshing weight of a conversation. Receiving a message is no ordinary thing anymore - It's part of a ritual. Every day, you wait for the next text to arrive and wonder, how your pal might responded to your last letter, because those at the same time pack more emotion, more intimacy and more weight. They easily gain importance in your life, because they truly are something special - They are the ups during your day, the little things that make you smile - especially, because they are so rare.
Now build a friendly UI, a simpel but working matching system with the option to pick pals yourself and you get this app.
I genuinely think that SLOWLY is wonderful and powerful tool to connect to people and make your letters count.
That is messaging done right. Props to the developers - I admire your work.

Un plaisir retrouvé

Cette application permet de trouver des correspondants dans le monde entier et d’échanger sur divers domaines en compatibilité. Je retrouve le plaisir d’écrire de longues lettres et ceci avec l’attente de recevoir un courrier en retour. Un plaisir que seul le temps peut offrir. Merci beaucoup pour cette application.

Only new people 😕

I use the app now the second day.
I didn‘t find the butten to search for a friend i know - search function does not support -keyword searching - searching for a username...
Please add this! (In some of the next updates - slowly)

A lot of crashes and system errors

I love the concept, but as someone said before me, there are way too many crashes. They always happen after hitting send and almost always delete your entire letter, which you could‘ve spent an hour on. There are also system errors, which means you can‘t receive incoming letters or log in at all.
Please fix this, I‘d give it 5 stars otherwise!

Great Idea and nice app!

I love it, I have been on it for two days and have already many Pen-friends from all over the world, some tho whom I wrote (great possibility to choose people) and some wrote to me.
Really nice, thanks.
If you would make the iPad app also on landscape, it would be PERFECT! I have a keyboard to type.

Slow down

I really like to write letters and I never had any letter pal. Now I try to find some, writing letters all over the world to other users I don‘t know. It‘s a great idea!

Très bonne application

Je conseille vivement cette application, elle permet de se lier d'amitié avec
des gens partageant les mêmes passions que nous, d'appendre des langues ou servir de professeur! Très bonne application, seul défaut, uniquement présente en anglais. Cela ne me pose personnellement aucun souci mais je connais des francophones incapables de lire correctement l'anglais, mais qui apprécient le concept de Slowly.

Keeps crashing - and your text is gone

The platform has constant system errors or throws errors when you’re about to send a letter (whilst losing everything you wrote).
Not ready for prime time.
