App is not working
Unfortunately the app is not working nor is there an option to update. As soon as I open it, it says I have to read through the privacy policy and most likely agree to it, but instead of the privacy policy to appear, only „Cannot connect network“ is written and no way to escape this page and access the headphone settings. Even after closing the app, restarting my phone, using wifi or LTE it wouldn’t work.

Headphones are nice, but the app sucks
1. going to the info page starts a long loading. I have a very fast network and it doesn‘t make sense to block user interaction because of some data refreshing
2. cannot connect to the app anymore
3. i‘ve created an account but I‘m still logged out from the app

HW is superb, SW absolutely terrible
Most comfortable headphones I’ve ever had (even with glasses) v good sound, good AC, very good battery life.
Bluetooth functionality is ok to poor (I.e. support for two devices).
The Sony Headphones app however is terrible. Slow, buggy, settings get reset periodically for no reason (e.g. speak to chat).

Obwohl ich ein Sony Account habe, kann ich mich nicht einloggen. Bekomme immer die Meldung Konto verbinden, Fortfahren geht nicht, komme wieder die selbe Meldung.

These headphones are really good except they keep making phone calls and it is not possible to prevent this!!
Sony please add an option to turn off dialing and all other phone functions!!

Habe mir soeben die Linkbuds S gekauft und hane diese dazugehörige App auf dem Smartphone installiert.
Die Performance der App ist für mich zu dem jetzigen Zeitpunkt grauenhaft.
Sie stürzt ständig ab. Und das ärgerlichste ist, dass ein Softwareupdate der Kopfhörer somit unmöglich wird!
Neustart des Smartphones (IphoneX) und Neuinstallation der App blieb erfolglos.

Terrible use case
I had to download this hellish app to disable one(1) feature on my headphones.
After allowing way too many permissions and skipping a ton of weird setup stuff i managed to turn off the god forsaken talk to chat.

Can’t use your app
The app was nice when I was able to use it. I own Sony WH-1000XM3 and now they won’t connect to the app even though the headphones work. Is this another “we make your headphones stop working with our app so you buy new ones” thing? Amazing.

Kopplung mit Sony Inzone H9
Sony Inzone H9 lässt sich nicht mit der App auf dem IPhone Koppeln, bzw. Kopfhörer wird nicht gefunden. Manuell koppeln über Bluetooth geht nur in der App funktioniert es nicht. Update bitte vornehmen

Often fails to connect to Headphones.
The tells me: „Cannot connect to WH-1000XM5. Check that the power of the device is on.“ Well, I am listening to music on said headphones via bluetooth, when I get this message.
Sony still makes horrible software. If the hardware was nearly as bad, nobody would buy it.

Ich bewährte primär nicht die App, sondern die Funktion Ein- und Ausschalten. Wenn ich die Kopfhörer über die App Ausschalte, dann verbinden diese sich nach 5 Minuten wieder automatisch. Was ja irgendwie auch logisch ist, wenn man dies über die App tätigen muss.

Good app, but…
I need an accoustic signal, if I switch ANC on and off. Not the voice, just a little „Bing“ to let me know, in which modus I am right now. This us a feature, that I really miss. Otherwise not a bad app, that hopefully will be improved over time.

Miss the Mute configuration
I like the headset wh-1000xm4. The app looked promising, configuration of ambient sound transparency and equaliser are great but I was expecting something more customizable for the assignment of the Custom Button and for the touchpanel.
To me you should be able at least to have a mute customisation available, this is really missing!

Many settings adjustable as well as pressure adjustments. I am using the iOS 14.7 on the iPhone 12 mini as well on the iPad Pro.

Le casque est top. Par contre à chaque mise à jour de l’app, le casque ne se connecte plus automatiquement au téléphone et surtout le volume du son est inaudible, même réglé au maximum

Almost great
The app is overall working very nicely, but two things could be improved:
* Add the ability to change the action of the "Two-Finger-Hold" gesture from "Toggle Speak-To-Chat" to "Toggle Adapative Sound Control" or both (this would allow quick toggling of all "smart" features directly from the headphones, which would be useful if e.g. on a phone call while repeatedly walking around, which currently triggers the "Adaptive Sound Control" all the time)
* Add the ability to define a fixed preset for the "Ambient Sound" mode for "Ambient Sound Control" (the one set by the "Custom" button on the headphones). Currently, the setting is mostly random when using both "Adaptive Sound Control" and "Speak-To-Chat". Ideally, there would be a section to quickly access all presets (the four from "Adaptive Sound Control" (Staying, Walking, Running, Transport), the two from the "Custom" button (Noise cancelling, Ambient Sound) and the one from Speak-To-Chat) from one place. Currently, the app seems to try to remember the last setting for "Ambient Sound", but it gets confused when both the "Adaptive Sound Control" and the "Speak-To-Chat" functionality modify the current mode simultaneously.

Voilà au moins trois fois je vous prie de corriger l’assistant vocal français !!
Quand on éteint le casque « WH-1000XM3 », l’assistant vocal vous dit : « Mise en tension », ce qui est d’une bêtise crasse ! Cette erreur n’existe que pour la langue française !
Quand je contacte l’assistance SONY, on me donne comme seule réponse : Faites un reset de votre micro logiciel (qui est pourtant à jour !) !! Comme si cela allait corriger l’erreur par miracle !
Réponse tout aussi crasse !!

Top Produkt
Der Sound ist wirklich super und passt sich jeder Situation an. Im Sport nicht getestet aber beim Fahrrad fahren kein Problem. Einzigste was mich stört, bei der Telefonie da hört man mich weit weg wie ein Echo. Zum Telefonieren in meinen Augen nicht zu gebrauchen. Meistens fällt mir auf, dass wenn ich am Bahnhof bin, mehrmals Störungen oder Aussetzer statt finden.
Fazit da ich mit den Kopfhörer nicht gut telefonieren kann, sie einfach dafür zu teuer sind. Deswegen 3 von 5 Sterne

Erfahrung
Die Dinger fallen ständig aus der Ohrmuschel; bei Telefonanrufen muss ausgeschaltet werden, da ständig vom Mobil und Kopfhörer hin und her geschaltet wird.
Die Hörer sind noch stark Entwicklungsfähig, das updaten ist ebenso unbefriedigend und langwierig ; Fazit: die Hörer sind NICHT EMPFEHLENSWERT.

So I was pretty happy with my brand new WF-1000XM3 that I wanted to setup on the app on an iPhone XR, sadly it just constantly freezes right after accepting the confidentiality stuff.
I’ll be pretty happy to change that review if any update is made to fix this.

L‘application fonctionne très bien
Les réglages sont complets et précis
Il manque le réglage de la balance et la possibilité de mélanger le son des deux canaux stéréo
L’affichage du Codec utilisé est très pratique pour savoir quel est le niveau de qualité de la musique
La fonction DSEE HX s’active uniquement avec l’application et embellit le AAC de mon IPhone 8
Merci à Sony pour les modes d’emplois du casque qui sont très complets et très détaillés et qui permettent de comprendre comment activer le DSEE HX notamment
Cet app met vraiment en valeur le casque VH-1000XM3

Der Sinn dahinter habe ich nicht verstanden und die App wieder gelöscht. Schade!

Spyware
Das einzige was die App wirklich gut kann ist seine Benutzer zu überwachen. Es werden massiv Daten gesammelt, die für die Funktion des Geräts nicht benötigt werden (Datenschutzerklärung genau lesen!). Wer dies ablehnt kann die App nicht benutzen! Pfui Sony!
