Die App ist wirklich gut! 👍 Sie berechnet neue Strecken extrem schnell wenn man die geplante Route verlässt. Da sind die anderen Navi Apps noch am Studieren was sie jetzt machen sollen...😉. Was mich auch freut ist, dass die App sogar fest installierte Blitzer in der Schweiz kennt. Keines meiner 4 anderen Navi Apps kennt diese. Man muss sich wenig mit der App beschäftigen. Es werden nicht alle Funktionen offensichtlich gezeigt. Ich als Camper würde mich freuen, wenn ich als separater Point of Intrest nur Campingplätze wählen und die maximale Reisegeschwindigkeit eingeben könnte. Dann gibt es 6 Sterne! Super gemacht!👍

Vor Kurzem Magic Earth installiert und total begeistert! Weltweite offline-Karten, Verkehrsinfo, Headup Display, DashCam, CarPlay (o.ä.), zig Sprachen (inkl. Schweizerdeutsch!) grosse Anzeigen (auch ohne Brille;-) und alles GRATIS!
Ich verstehe die Welt nicht mehr. Wo kann ich meinen Obulus spenden? Bei Sygic habe ich für diese Optionen über 50 Fr bezahlt. Hoffentlich folgt Magic Earth nicht mit einer (blöden) Überraschung!

Feedback der letzten 5 wöchigen Reise.
Nach wie vor gutes Navi. Hier ein kurzes aktuelles Fazit:
+ Über tausende von km zuverlässige Navigation
+ schweizerdeutsche Sprachausgabe :-)
+ flüssige 3D Ausgabe
- immer wieder Hänger in Zusammenhang mit CarPlay
- wenn die Sprache auf schweizerdeutsch „Mia“ eingestellt ist, kommen nach wie vor Text Benachrichtigungen in einer osteuropäischen Sprache (bereits vor 3 Jahren via Support gemeldet)
- Speichern von Routen leider nach wie vor nicht möglich
- Camping Plätze werden manchmal angezeigt und manchmal nicht (Zelt Symbol)

Bravo! Top Navi-Software vorbehaltlos empfehlenswert. Ist eine perfekte Alternative zu Navigon, TomTom und Sygic. Habe Sygic zwar noch drauf, nutze aber Magic Earth in der Praxis. Was ich besonders gut mag an Magic Earth: + 3D Ansicht bereits beim Planen (z.B. Motorradrouten in den Bergen) + viele POIs wie Hotels, Camping auch offline verfügbar (staune immer wieder, was alles drin ist) + Natürliche Sprachausgabe (sogar Mundart > mag die sympathische Stimme von Mia 👍🏼) + Flüssiges Zoom + Offline-Karten für die ganze Welt vorhanden Verbesserungspotential für Magic Earth: - Routen können leider nicht gespeichert werden (d.h. Plan muss manuell z.B. mittels Favoriten vom iPad auf das iPhone übertragen werden, was unnötig aufwendig ist) - verliert Route nach Neustart der App - iOS Notifications werden in einer mir nicht verständlichen Sprache eingeblendet (ich bräuchte Deutsch oder Englisch) - praktisch wäre, wenn der aktuelle Ort irgendwo eingeblendet wird (zwecks Orientierung, wenn man die Ortstafel nicht realisiert)

Sehr enttäuschende App bereits beim ersten Einsatz. Nachdem ich die Route geändert habe, erkannte die App die andere Autoeinfahrt auch 100 Meter davor. Sie wollte mich über einen riesigen Umweg und dann erst noch in die falsche Richtung auf die Autobahn leiten. Das ist wirklich unglaublich!

Heute heruntergeladen und gleich getestet, ich bin echt begeistert!! Auch die Funktion mit Apple Carplay ist hervorragend.
Ein automatischer Zoom welcher geschwindkeitsabhängig funktionieren würde wär noch toll für das Carplay aber da Google Maps und Sygic dies auch nicht machen gehe ich davon aus das es Apple bedingt ist!

Bravo! Das ist die beste Navi App die ich testete! Alles dabei was man braucht oder brauchen könnte. Sehr schöne Darstellung gute und korrekte Navigation, diverse Einstellungsmöglichkeiten und trotzdem nicht überladen. Apple Carplay, Blitzerwarnung, HUD, Dashcam usw...
Schön wäre noch den Navipfeil durch ein Fahrzeug ersetzen zu können 😏 Bravo weiter so! So müssen Apps sein!!!

Bin positiv überrascht, alle Länder die ich brauche dabei, CarPlay ect. Nun muss sich nur noch der Test beim fahren bewähren, aber das so denke ich wird auch positiv sein.
Jeden falls 1000 x besser als TOM TOM die Abzocker war denen viele Jahre treu und dann das. Gut das es euch gibt weiter so, vielen Dank.

Ich verwende nur noch diese Navi-App (via CarPlay). Nur mit dem Sichern von Favoriten habe ich etwas Mühe. Das müsste doch wirklich einfacher gehen. Aber sonst: hervorragend, sowohl Anzeige wie Sprachführung.
Nachtrag: Dank der Antwort des Entwicklers ist mir die Sicherung der Favoriten jetzt klar und verständlich! Vielen Dank!

Magic Earth ist mit Abstand die beste Navigationsapp. Schön anzusehen, mit Blitzer auch in der Schweiz, früher auf dem Mobile heute mit AppleCarplay. Schade kann man es nicht direkt aus dem Kalender verwenden. Das geht wohl nur mit den Google und Apples eigenen Karten.
Ein Wohnmobilmodus wo man die Höhe und Breite des Fahrzeugs eingeben könnte würde mich freuen. Macht weiter so!

I tried may apps to navigate (using Apple Carplay). Some are quite good, but this one is best. Main positive features:
- beautiful 3D maps with topography
- very fast routing
- reasonably good user interface (with some room for improvement)
- relies on OSM: I had to fix an issue on open street maps around my house, and 2 weeks later my OSM correction was already used by the App
- excellent user support; addresses and fixes issues quickly
- really smart autozoom, going into bird's eye view around crossroads, round-abouts, highway exits etc.

And here are some suggestions for improvement:
1) I wish I could create car/vehicle profiles with different preferences. E.g. I never take highways with our small electric vehicle, but want to use highways with the normal car. With our motorhome I want to avoid narrow roads, and define lower typical average speeds. It would be perfect to just select the vehicle before starting navigation, rather than diving into settings and change settings each time - or worse: forget to change settings and getting wrong directions.
2) I would like to plan trips in advance and store them in a "Planned trips" list.
3) It would be nice if the App would connect with my calendars and extract addresses for upcoming appointments from there. (Waze does this very well)
4) The navigation gets easily confused in tunnels, and jumps erratically to nearby roads (which are inaccessible when inside a tunnel!). It should be easy to stick on the same road while being in a tunnel.
5) Small bug, affecting the background colour of trafic signs for the upcoming exit or turn that fits to the current street, not the street or road one changes to. Example: when on a highway, but about to exit to a Kantonalstrasse, the App uses green background (colour for highway signs) rather than blue (colour for Kantonalstrasse etc.). Vice versa: when driving on a normal road and about to change to a highway, the sign uses a blue background rather than a green blackground. In reality direction signs use the background colour of the street they are pointing to. E.g. green background when pointing to a highway even though we are still on the normal road. And a blue background when driving on a highway but about to use the next exit onto a normal road. Cosmetics, but easy to fix for the next update.

I like this offline Navigator very much. It's got a very nice look and feel, a powerful search and is very fast, even on old phones. However there are some minor issues and one major.
Minor:
- I have to wait until the camera has completed its flight to the destination before I can select the action. not a problem but a little annoying.
edit: i've now found out how to manage waypoints on a route, my bad...
The Major flaw I've found: it seems, that ME is somewhat inaccurate in pointing to addresses (maybe other destinations as well): it happened to me, that ME was misleading me for some 100 metres or so.
It definitely is not an OSM-Problem, since I doublechecked with another osm-offline-navigator.

For me, Magic Earth is hands-down the best OSM navigation app (especially since the demise of Scout in Europe). It has beautiful maps (with 3D rendered buildings), which get updated from OSM source data frequently, navigation is accurate, maps are available offline (including search), I like it a lot.
Only downsides: for me it seems to be more power-hungry than Apple Maps - you should really plug-in your phone. Also their traffic data is rather inaccurate, at least in Canada.

Bei Kreuzungen und Kerisel wechselt die Karte von 3D auf 2D, man erkennt super welche Ausfahrt man nehmen muss! Cooles Tool! Für so ein Tool gibt man gern auch etwas Geld aus...
